ISOLATION PHASE 7.5 (page 66)

ISOLATION PHASE 7.5

Originally the first paragraph reads:

Soldiers will usually surrender if placed in a hopeless situation, rather than fight to the last man. This possibility is handled in the Isolation & Surrender Phase of the Sequence of Play (although unts can also surrender if they are forced to make and unformed move while surrender, see 4.2.6 Unformed Unit Movement)

Clearly this is an error as it doesn't make sense and the reference 4.2.6 React Marker Placement is not related to this topic. The correct reference is 4.2.5 Unformed Unit Movement. And the paragraph should say:

Soldiers will usually surrender if placed in a hopeless situation, rather than fight to the last man. This possibility is handled in the Isolation & Surrender Phase of the Sequence of Play (although unts can also surrender if they are forced to make and unformed move while completely surrounded, see 4.2.5 Unformed Unit Movement)

The target of this reference is the 6th paragraph at page 47.

If forced to make an unformed move while completely surrounded by encircling enemy units and/or impassible terrain (no gaps wide enough to move through), the unit must immediately "surrender" - it is considered to be eliminated and is removed from the tabletop

We would like to thank Paul McConnell, and the other NB players from Omagh Wargames Club (Northern Ireland) for reporting this typo.
